No more blown-out left shoulders from having to reach over to grab the wheel all day!  Introducing the SAFEDRIVE Postal Steering Stick, a design based on feedback from dozens of mail carriers.  A simple to use and effective way to steer the car from the passenger's side, commonly known as RHD or Right Hand Drive.  You can even make complete left and right turns.

With the simple push of a button, the stick disconnects from the attach point on the steering wheel and pops right back on when needed.  The ball handle makes a convenient grip and the flexible hinge-joint allows you to position your passengers seat forward or backward for greatest driving comfort.  It is made with lightweight aluminum alloy to minimize fatigue during a long day.

The system comes complete with full-color instructions, the 22 inch long steering stick, an optional 9 inch extension (if you prefer to drive with your right hand or have a wide cab), the steering wheel clamp attachment, two sets of screws for various thicknesses of steering wheels, rubber spacers for added grip, and an allen wrench.  There's nothing else you need for installation.  Just put the attachment on your steering wheel, tighten the two screws with the allen wrench, pop on the stick and you're good to go.

After training for a short time (it took us about 15 minutes), you could easily drive the car from mailbox to mailbox.  Turns do take a little more practice and using two hands on the stick was the trick.  We sure had fun watching the reaction on people's faces as we drove by!

Match this up with the SAFEDRIVE Turn Signal Extension to easily operate your turn signal from the right side.

Driving stick

I purchased this due to my left hand hurting by the end of the route, I straddle. It has helped in relieving the pain in my hand and it was easy to learn how to use. I know it said to try it out first, my first time using was actually on my route, I'm very rural so I didn't have to worry about to much traffic. Making right turns is still something I'm getting use to, but I'm getting there. Very satisfied with this purchase.

A gift.

I gave this to my son as a gift. He is just starting to use it. He likes it so far. I am also going to use one. Just ordered it. Looking forward to getting it.

This thing is great!

I drove from the middle for a year. My SO bought me the SafeDrive pedal kit for Christmas (I asked for this one as it comes with the extra cables) and I bought the steering stick and the signal stick. BEST INVESTMENT EVER! I also had to buy the t-mount, no biggie, and I installed everything myself as a 53yo female. I did have to adjust things a bit (had to cut both sides of the t-mount bars as my seat bolts were much narrower than the mount allowed, and I had to use the alternate gas pedal bracket that was included and ended up anchoring both the gas and brake pedal cable anchors to it, and I also bought some longer bolts for the brake pedal arm as mine is super thick tapered plastic rather than just a thin metal arm), but it was all super logical and no problem to adjust as needed. Lots of extra parts are included for exactly these situations. I love the end result! Everything works great, I can even turn the brights on and off with the signal stick. The steering stick takes a little practice but is AWESOME! My Jeep SUV converts almost instantly back to lhd for everyday use. Installed everything on Jan 1, 2024, and I've driven several routes now with this setup (Jan 19), including several days in this snow we've gotten lately. I'm so happy with how it all worked out!
